Come join the largest Ob/Gyn practice in Palm Springs, Ca. We are seeking an ARDMS certified ob/gyn ultrasound technician in our Palm Springs or La Quinta Office. The candidate we are seeking will join our team of highly experienced technicians who work independently and report to our highly respected 10 physicians and nurse practitioners. Qualifications: To qualify you must have at least three years of ob/gyn recent work experience, knowledge of EMR, a High School diploma or equivalent, and be a graduate of an AMA approved Ultrasound Program. ARDMS certification in Ob/Gyn is a must. A Nuchal Translucency certificate is also required (but we are willing to send for the training if not certified currently). The right candidate should be able to handle a busy day, which includes OB and Gyn ultrasounds.This candidate must be compassionate and caring to our pregnant women and be kind and considerate as well as accurate and knowledgeable. Since our ultrasound schedule is booked weeks in advance, being extremely reliable are another quality that is needed. The practice currently uses some of the newest models of GE and Philips equipment and provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the community in a patient friendly and comfortable environment.
As a Sonographer you'll:
Perform a wide range of outpatient ultrasound exams both OB and gynecological/pelvic exams for a busy OB/GYN group
Willing to be kind, gentle and patient with our women, answering their questions and concerns during the exam.
Willing to work as an Independent Contractor. Salary will be higher to accommodate for the fact that no benefits are being offered due to the nature of working as an Independent contractor. The physicians will sign all the ultrasounds but must be able to work independently. There is always a physician or midlevel in the office to discuss any concerning findings with so that the patient may be seen at the time of the ultrasound exam if anything is urgent.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and professional medical sonographer who is able to independently perform all OB/Gyn outpatient ultrasound procedures with high quality results. Ultrasound Technician job applicants must have successfully completed a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, at least 2+ years of recent ultrasound work in Women’s Health after completing internship, and RDMS certification are also a must. Experience and certification in performing NTL (nuchal translucency) exams is also a requirement but willing to hire an experienced OB sonographer and send them to the training course and help them to get certified.
2 years experience in Women's Health as a sonographer
Certified to perform NTLs or willing to become certified
Great positive attitude with a passion for Women's Health Specifically
Willing to work as an Independent Contractor, with a higher rate of pay and always a physician or NP in office with you for any problem issues that arise
