Swedish is looking for a Supervisor of Sterile Processing \(1\.0 FTE, Days\) in Sterile Processing to work at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA\.
The Supervisor performs a variety of tasks to ensure delivery of high\-quality products and services to Central Services customers\. This individual will oversee all processes and staffing related to the decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments; case care assembly; and management of materials and soft supplies throughout the perioperative services environment\.
In this position you will:
Oversee daily operation of the Sterile Processing Department \(SPD\), including supervising activities of SPD Techs
Analyze, plan and implement staffing schedules to meet department operational needs
Monitor utilization of materials/resources to promote cost containment and standardization consistent with system\-wide surgical expense reduction efforts
Select, hire, develop and counsel staff and coordinate new employee orientation
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree with a focus in healthcare or business or equivalent education/experience \(1:1\) will substitute for each year of college not completed
Current certification through internationally recognized organizations such as IAHCSMM or AHA, or the ability to obtain SPD supervisory management certification, CHL, CSPDS, CRCST by completing course within one year of being assigned to the supervisor position
Minimum four years' progressive work\-related experience in sterile processing, surgical services, and/or supply chain materials management
Minimum two years' experience in a leadership role either as a lead or supervisor
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion of \(or current enrollment in\) a Central Services technician course
