Geisinger Medical Laboratories is seeking candidates, for our open Cytotechnologist position, to join our CAP and AABB accredited medical laboratories team. Job responsibilities will include:
Screen gynecological and non-gynecological cytologic preparations to determine abnormalities and assists Pathologist with diagnosis.
Perform duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Work under the general supervision of the Technical Specialist, Cytology, and the administrative direction of the Supervisor, and/or Operations Director of Anatomic Pathology.
ASCP registered or eligible as CT(ASCP), meeting the following criteria is required: Baccalaureate degree and successful completion of a 12 month accredited Cytotechnology program.
Prior work experience as a Cytotechnologist preferred.
Requires up to three months on the job training to reach acceptable level of performance.
