Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM); Lafayette, LA

As an active team member of our OB Hospitalist program, the Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) candidate would join a successful collaborative team comprised of OB Hospitalists & Nurse Practitioners to support our level 3 regional obstetrics program.  This includes:

• Provide comprehensive, holistic health care and wellness care to women, including family planning, gynecologic checkups, prenatal care, in-hospital births and postpartum care
• Assist women in becoming actively involved in their health care and birthing journey
• Provide a supportive, home-like environment for expectant mothers with low-risk pregnancies who are seeking “high-touch, low-intervention” prenatal, obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Examine and treat patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals following established standards and practices set forth by the American College of Nurse-Midwives

Approximately two hundred and fifty babies are delivered monthly at Our Lady of Lourdes Women's and Children's Hospital with this number steadily growing.

With anesthesia physicians in house and the support of a level 3 Surgical NICU, makes Our Lady of Lourdes Women's and Children's Hospital an exceptional full service provider in the community.
