JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK�s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:
�Emergency care 24/7
�Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
�Cardiovascular services
�Maternity care and pediatric services
�Ambulatory surgery center
�Imaging services
�Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

The Clinical Care Coordinator (CCC) assumes a leadership role for daily unit operations. The CCC demonstrates the ability to respond and provide direction in changing workloads during crisis and during emergency situations. The CCC assists the Director and Manager with the development of action plans and achieving goals. Performs customer service related actions to include rounding on all families following admission. Assures regulatory compliance with Title 22 and The Joint Commission. Acts as a consultant on complex patient care. Reviews acuity data regularly to validate staffing patterns. Monitors and reviews results of performance improvement projects. On occasion, provides direct patient care, assists with procedures and responds to emergencies as needed. Participates in policy and procedure review and revision as directed. Enters patient classification data, identifies staffing needs and makes assignments, covers meals and breaks, assists staff as necessary, intervenes with customer service issues, performs initial investigation of incidents as assigned. The CCC assists with the development of critical thinking skills in other staff. The CCC assists with hiring and training of staff. The CCC also supervises and evaluates staff performance. The CCC maintains staffing levels to ensure budget goals and meeting patient needs. The CCC ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available at all times. The CCC also develops and implements performance improvement projects to improve patient outcomes. The CCC will be a MCH Rapid Response Team member and all other duties as assigned by the director.



Qualifications:

  1. California RN License
  2. Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge
  3. BLS (maintain current at all times)
  4. NRP - within 90 days (maintain current at all times)
  5. PALS - within 90 days (maintain current at all times)
  6. Fetal Monitoring - within 90 days (maintain current at all times)
  7. Previous experience or demonstrates skills in leadership and management preferred
  8. Demonstrated ability to present self in a positive and professional manner
