The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas, one of the most complex facilities in the VA healthcare system is seeking a Gynecology Surgeon for the Operative Care Line. This is a Full-time position at the MEDVAMC and an academic appointment at the Baylor College of Medicine. The candidate will be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Surgery. The successful candidate will have skills and training in Operative Procedure: History and Physical, Anterior and posterior colporrhaphy; Biopsy: Vulvar, Vagina, Cervix, Dilation and curettage, Cervical Conization; Hysterectomy: Abdominal, Vaginal, Hysteroscopy, Hysterotomy; Laparoscopy: Diagnostic, Sterilization, Therapeutic, Laparotomy for pelvic/abdominal adhesions; Microscope: Vulvar, Vaginal and Cervical, Microscopic, Lefort's operation, Metroplasty, Microsurgery, Myomectomy; Other Surgery on Tubes and Ovaries: Reanastomosis, Oophorectomy, Ovarian cystectomy, Perineoplasty, Da Vinci Robotic Procedures, Supra-pubic vesico-urethral suspension, Tubal re-implantation; Tuboplasty: Vulvectomy, Simple.
